As manufacturers struggle with the increasing complexity of today’s machine tools and part geometries, CAD/CAM software packages need to offer programmers and machinists new ways to dramatically speed up programming efficiencies while improving overall part finishes and quality. Our programming team at Acadiana Mfg uses Autodesk Inventor, Fusion 360, FeatureCAM Ultimate, HSMWorks and OneCNC for all of our CAD/CAM needs. We have the ability to import customer supplied 3D models and CAD files directly into our CAM software to generate toolpaths. We also have a 3D machine simulation package that lets us simulate our toolpaths to check for any collisions or gouges before cutting the actual part. This is a huge time saver to the programmer and our cost savings can be passed along to our customers.
